Janet and John have been so busy with their house sale,  packing up their belongings and looking for another property that they have let the Christmas preparations slide. They will be spending Christmas with the family which means they haven’t had to put up decorations, not that Janet knows where they are even if she felt the need, which would be highly unlikely. Hopefully, if there is no more snow, they will travel on Christmas Eve, the inch or so that is still on the ground looks very festive, but anymore might make things difficult. From past experience, shopping late in the afternoon can be relatively stress free as everyone has given up and gone home by this time. Janet and John will do their last minute shopping, then travel on to join their family to get ready for the fat man in the red suit. They are looking forward to a very happy Christmas.
