Janet has been clearing out cupboards ready for the move. She has come across all sorts of things she had forgotten about, or more to the point, she is like women who buy shoes or handbags and then feel they have to hide them from their husbands, she has hidden china. Apart from collecting Shelley porcelain she also likes anything which is a little bit different, something that stands out. When she saw the  Astrolabio Plates at auction some time ago she knew very little about Piero Fornasetti the Italian Designer 1913-1988 who from the 1940s became recognised internationally as an exceptional designer. His son carried on with his work after his death, today Fornasetti Faces of Women design is very popular, however these Astrolabio plates are original  and much sought after.
